My place is a bit too much of a mess to really photograph the way I have my fans set up.

I could do some minor clean up and creative framing possibly to do pictures
but my digital camera is also a big pain to deal with.

I will attempt to describe it however and do some photos later when I get around to it.

I don't have a fan display exactly. I have a fan in every room but the bathroom.  and in the case of the living room and bedroom I have two fans.

They are simply set up in the best possible place to offer the maximum utility when they are needed.  I can show two previously taken pictures that kind of show how they are arranged.  (they don't give much of a perspective of the rest of the room however)

This is the kitchen fan (An FM16V23 Vortalex circa 1950)

This is my home (and only) Office fan a 16" Emerson 73668 circa 1928.
From the picture you should be able to see that it sits in the corner by the door on a table/bookshelf it points directly at me and is only  about 5 feet away( or less) That table is covered with various papers and knick knacks to keep the papers in place when the fan is running.

I am able to display a few fans in the main house, but the majority is in the man cave or in boxes in the shop. My wife tolerates a few scattered here and there, just to humor me I guess.............Here's a pair of W/H tanks

That ceramic figure on the table looks positively demonic *shiver*. Probably worth a great deal but not something I would like to have staring at me at night.

My displays are currently eyesores since I've been trying to round up my stuff and get 70+ fans off of the floor and onto shelves... of which I have very few...

I believe that this is a cast iron "penny gulper". These are indeed worth quite a few pennies of their own when original.

Kim: You need more pancake fans, not to mention BMY/SMY. I was not aware of Diehls with GE motors? Are the motors BMY or SMY-style?

The penny bank has a very "politically incorrect name". Not really sure how I even acquired it. My wife has commented on it's "demonic appearance" also, hence it's relegation to "the" room.

The Diehls use the BMY tank motor. One is a toiletbowl oscillator and has the '08 type motor with struts mounting to the face. It doesn't use the centrifigal start switch.  The Eck is identical to the Diehl stationary except the badging.

I'm willing to bet it says "Jolly ****** Bank" on the back... I sold mine for $250 about 10 years ago.. Neat piece of history.. I still have a re-pop that doesn't have that on the back..

You would be correct..........I think my wife found it at a flea market and thought it would look good with some cast iron firetrucks I have. Once she had it home, it gave her the heebeegeebees, so guess where it got sent to...
