Just picked up a GE ceiling fan from the 30`s . It is missing the 3 speed pull chain switch .  Is it possible to find an original switch ?
        thanks  Scott

Post a pic.
If its the "regular" GE, it had the 3 Speed snap switch or maybe a Bryant pull chain.
If its the top mount, it usually had a strange little lever mount switch in the top of the fan and a string that ran down the shaft. Later ones like that had Levolier switches.

If it is the 30s model & has that lever switch, you are probably out of luck. Those are one of my favorite GE ceiling fan, but the switch was always the weak link. They are normally wired around or inoperative. Those fans are also normally missing the cone which covers the bottom of the rotor.
