That is my Lionel Battery Fan. I suspect Lionel Trains wanted in the fan business. The same fan is shown as Perfection, without the Lionel cast into the base. I think maybe 6 exist today.

HI All!
I was at the museum today! If you are ever in the Indianapolis - Zionsville area you MUST STOP IN! The fans are truely amazing and laid out nicely to see and enjoy! If your lucky you can see Kim Frank or Tom Frampton and they can give you a little tour around... The second floor is done and Kim and his son along with others are making it look great! If your lucky you can see this kinda stuff laying around ready to be restored... I tried to sneak out with these dusty ol wall fans but security is pretty good! If you get caught Kim will strap you into the antique dentist chair on the second floor and operate like he did Jon!!

I can't connect Lionel to the Perfection battery fan through the electrical trade journals.

The earliest 8" DESK fan with Racine universal motor APPEARS to be the AEROFAN with wood propeller. The earliest I can trace back The National Electric Co. of Chicago using the HOLD HEET trademark is an electric blanket in 1913. The first mention of the Aerofan is the 14 season. The National Electric Co. and the HOLD HEET trademark was changed to the RUSSELL ELECTRIC CO. in 17.

Kim, That Racine is gorgeous! I remember falling in love with it many years ago when I first joined the AFCA. It still puts a knot is my stomach.
