I seem to spend a lot of time in our small local Post Office ,      again today ,sending some blade spiders of to VN....Im called aside and told my last parcel has been returned from customs .
Reason:      Gas Cylinder inside .

MY   Description on label  "vintage fan for  repair"
Headed back to the UK in the same packaging and box i received it in ....

Was opened on counter......now on its way  to UK.    why customs didn't look inside ,i know not why ?

Couldn't of picked a better fan for them to see ...
.
This a first for me...[no cage or blade was sent] ..still  cmon now!!!
The upside of it, now the postmaster knows what's in my boxes ,T shirts i wear..
and descriptions only up to now...
Been told i can display a couple  of fans in the PO...may bring in some stray fans from this old farming community  ...
all ended well !
cheers j

What a miserable experience!

However, I can see the proverbial silver lining to it all.

You  will now have some fans on display at your local p.o., that help make it more hospitable.

It will, in time, generate offers to sell, and more importantly, more fans to acquire.

Jan, how do you like the big picture?

Mate more fans ,
has to be a win win for me ..
Hospitality in these small owner operated PosT Offices , always on a personal level  :D
Myself, always got a smile and time to chat about ...fans .
I dont need much of a opening to spread the word. 99% of people here i meet have never seen one ,
let alone heard about a club that collects them ????
     cheers j
