Despite the info in the June 2017 "Fan Collector", the Meston Brothers were producing and selling an AC fan in 1891 after forming the Emerson Electric Company in 1890, and I don't believe they were the first.
Stefan or someone can tell us more, if they wish!  :light:

Thanks again Russ,

I rewound the coils for a very simple Tesla motor about 25 years ago at South Side Electric with Warren's old wood "blocks" and his expert supervision.  It runs perfectly, but not for years---still in the basement with hundreds of others, including Thomas Edison's prototype for his first fan, and Edwin Pillsbury's signed textbooks from his electrical training in Lynn Massachusetts, New York, St. Louis etc.. I have now been up for 16 days & nights.
