I probably jumped the gun on this but it was fairly cheap and I never seen this type of base on this fan. It looks like its factory. I wonder if this was a special order or this is just some cobble together.

Even has emerson grommets in the base.

It is factory & is a pole mount. Notice the base is cupped to fit a support column. Mine is the first variant 77648 with a Levolier switch & only one speed. It was mounted on a pole in a super market.

Here is why you dont buy fans on ebay. Fan came in a box the same size as the fan and had two things of paper inside with no material between the fan and box. One struts slightly bent and the blades were bent but not severely. However the worst part is the base is broken. Its a clean break and could be welded but its not exactly an added convenience.
