'White motor tag' Wagner are three speed with a coil...'black motor tag' are one speed with a three position switch...hmmmm....always thought this was a one-speed fan

I've seen both models , just guessing that the one speed fan came out the year after they quit putting an expensive choke coil in the 10" fan ???. No knowledge here , pure speculation. :D

I have the model with the black tag. I never disassembled it, but always thought there was something "wrong" with it because it runs on one speed, but the speed lever has multiple positions. I assume the speed coil had bit the dust. Now I know maybe this is "original" and operates as it should.
