Just a bit over 2 weeks from now we will have the old fan compound ready & open for the 23rd year for buying , selling , swapping ,showing off  fans you want or don't want or are extremely proud of  :dude:. Shops will be open with   enough table space for working on any projects you might bring. Although officially the meet is Fri & Sat. May 24th & 25th , will welcome early arrivals on Thursday and late departures on Sunday/Monday since it's a long Memorial weekend. Early arrivals do stand the risk of being drafted into the get ready work force.. Tables for buy/sell/swap will be set up in the Patchwork Barn. Fan work , general lounging and Saturday Chow will happen in the metal Fan Barn.  I need a head count  of those planning to be here , especially if you will plan to eat Saturday lunch with us in the Fan Barn. Pulled pork / Fried Chicken , creamed crowder peas / green beans / mashed potatoes ( Yukon Gold )  garlic cole slaw & a myriad of desserts are in the works.  Will have the coffee pots running all day , every day. I did not get a flier together in time for inclusion in the recent excellent edition of the Fan Collector mag , so ,  Hotels in the area are listed below.

1.- Quality Inn (tell them you're with the AFCA and the regional meet)   870-741-7676
  2.-  Super 8 Motel....................................................................................870-741-1741
  3.-  Holiday Inn Express..........................................................................870-742-3636
  4.-  Hampton Inn.....................................................................................870-365-0505
  5.-  Family Budget Inn.............................................................................870-743-1000
  6.-  Days Inn............................................................................................870-391-3297

I couldn't locate the # for the old downtown Hotel Seville as of this writing but will post it as soon as I can locate it. Phone books are fairly worthless tools for local info anymore :?.  Looking forward to greeting old friends and making new ones. Don't straddle the fence too long , you might hurt yourself. Remember , Jon Brown will be here !   YO................................................                  happy fan collector

Pat and I will be in attendance along with long time AFACA Member, Fan Meet Rookie, my Brother in Law, Gary Mattos all the way from California.  Probably won't make it up until late Thursday, so probably just see ya on Friday AM.  Looking forward to seeing the legendary Fan Barn and your collection sir.  Let us know how we can help!

We got way too much old rotting wood in piles around here if it ever dries out a bit , we might be able to do another bonfire and let McComas hold the water hose. :D

That was back in the good old days.  We were using an old metal rake to roast the hot dogs.

Yeah, I remember that too...  That rake kinda gave them dogs an "earthy" flavor.

I'm ready this year! Just got through ordering a new, spare set of glasses from Zenni!

I've been thinking about building Sparky a new set of jumper test leads with a built-in
whistling auto chaser with added magnesium powder!  (for special effect)...

I thought George was the designated hose holder???

I’ma do my best to make it out for a few days. No need to worry about me on food, haven’t felt like eating recently since Mom passed. Hope it works out though to where I can come!!!

If you’ve never been to Pig Pickin’ it’s the best fan get together I have been to each time. Laid back, great guys, great insight on restorations from some of the best of the best in the club. Also a high chance to make no lifelong friends. Can’t wait to hopefully see y’all Paul, Mark, & Geoff, along with all other normal attendees.

I have a speed coil from a emerson hassock fan that needs a rewind. The wires broke in the speed coil.
