just checking with the fan collectors out there to see if this is correct... the cage is 18 inches but the blade is slightly under 16 giving in a sort of an odd look.. also it has two stickers on each side of the motor I was wondering if I should paint around them or just paint over them...  do they add value to the fan or are they just something the dealer stuck on to advertise their store..  also the paint is not black it has a dark green cast to it.. any information on what I have would be appreciated...

Looks all correct to me. Peerless had a tendency to use oversized guards. Honestly, i would leave the decals and leave the fan original but polish the paint up. Imo Its your fan do whatever you want with it.

Chad Baker had the 12" counterpart to your Peerless with that same decal. Keep it as it's a great insight into your fan's history.

It's a distributor or agent sticker for colonial fans. Adds interest and value in my opinion. Keep it.

Hey Dan, remind me - did you get that missing gear made for me some years back? I just not have had the time to troubleshoot this project.
