First I would like to thank Stan Adams for the heads up about the auction. If you participated I'd like to see what you bid on and what you ended up with. I certainly couldn't tell much by the original pictures.

I bid on about 14 lots at one point or other, and ended up winning one lot... the one with my lowest high bid. I was really after a 6 wing Emerson. Here's the picture I had to go by:

At $60 (over $81 with fees & taxes) I think I did OK, as long as I can get at least one working. The big surprise was the Century skeletal. I wasn't even sure it was a skeletal. It has a brass cage and blades, something I couldn't tell by the picture, and the paint looks to be original with speed control lettering even. Unfortunately the Emerson has a crunched switch. Haven't opened it to see if its fixable yet.

Hope someone here won something...

Well, the Emerson switch was in 3 pieces. But with some tape to hold it together and some super glue it works.

The motor housing finish looks pretty good, but the base needs paint. Also need to align the blades better and need a few other repairs and parts. But at least one fan is working... the one in the worst shape.

Now back to the skeletal to see if it will work...
