Hello All!

Many of you probably know I’ve been restoring an R&M built Western Electric fan for a while now. A few members saw it at Fandango 2019. I bought the fan at Fan Fair 2019 from Tony Kapusta. I finally finished the restoration on Monday. I decided to go all out on this fan, and I am very pleased with the results. At first it was missing the switch, bottom plate, and a brush assembly. First for the thanks:

Thanks to Tony for selling me this fan to begin with. Steven Dempsey contributed the missing parts at a cost to himself of two fans. He was great to work with through the process. Rick Powell masterfully refinished the fan with his wonderful black Japan. The beautiful cage badge is the work of Donald Coleman. Tony Clayton supplied wire that was a 1:1 recreation of the original wire on the fan. All these guys were awesome and I would fully recommend their business. I feel blessed so many awesome members helped with the fan.

As for my part, I did the rewiring, polished the brass, reassembled the fan, and gave her a good servicing (new wicks, oil, etc.).

Circa 1919 WE List No. 6000

I made this poster as well. X) Cause, why not!

She runs very quiet and smooth on all three speed. I gave the fan to my Dad as a present since he used to work for Western Electric and has fond memories of his time there. He seemed quite touched, and the fan is proudly displayed in the dining room.

Thanks for all your kind words guys! :)
Steven: Yes, it is a re branded List No. 3000. I really liked how the badge turned out too. Thanks again for your early help in the project, I couldn’t have done it without you.
