I have been cleaning plugs for some time and came across this one that was painted black. I started cleaning this one and noticed that below the black paint was brass. Only one that I have seen like this!

Hi Ron, do you have a side view? I've seen metal plugs before and have at least one nickel plated one I polished on a fan. Would like to see the profile on yours. Thanks

I have this one on one of my tanks. It's pretty common and can be found. I think it's nickel plated but do not know. It was rough when I found it. I've not seen Ron's before. I'm with Steve, I'll have to start looking...

Like most of us, I have boxes of crap laying around. I pulled out an old stash of plugs I put away a few years ago to put one on a Jandus. In the box, there it was, I did not know I had it. I still think you'd have to be a little nuts to put it on anything you use regularly. The brass plug...

That’s neat. I wonder if they costed it with brass, because people would think yellow brass would shock them?
