Motor wire connection  Rate Topic

So the first of many questions....
The motor wires in my fan were connected together by an ordinary wire nut. This is all new to me but it doesnt look like the best way to do it. Been doing a lot of searching and cant seem to find any info on the best way to connect the two coils together.

How should they connect?

They are connected differently on different fans. Pics and tag info would be a great help. It is real hard to say when we don't know what fan you are talking about.

Solder and shrink tubing is what I use.

This is my first attempt at a restore - thought maybe the coils had to be treated differently.
