Hi ,   Like to share some pics of my first pancake restoration ,
scope of work on this one
New wings, & used the old cage emblem, straitened out the front ring , and built a new cage ,
fitted new cord entry grommets
repo Rubber feet ,brass was lacquered with Mohawk spray can  :D
New oil drip surround was made
finish is authentic black stuff ...
if i got the date wrong? .. im not familiar with the Generals' fans

side

rear

spokes were stepped as well as the entry holes ..the old cage had every connection with gobs of weld ..yuk!

oil thingy

new, old

Base

parts fresh from cooking

runs original coils , original switch and donut in the base
very impressed with the smoothness and 5 speeds of this fan ..
..might have to add some more to this collection here ..
...bit lazy on not painting the badge on motor , but i do like the polished brass look

Thank you to the good friend  who sent me this fan , many thanks
cheers jan

Very nice Jan. Your work is first class..... BTW, the fan appears to be a 1905. Tag looks like it doesn't have the type and form letters and the neck of the base has a thumb screw and a set screw. Other than that and a couple of not so noticeable things, '04 and '05 look the same.
