This fan has a 1/8" hp motor that runs at 1140 rpm , 3.0amps., single speed. There was nothing wrong with the motor but I took it a part cleaned and reluberacated it and painted the housing . Bought a look like new Levolier switch on ebay. Did about 9 welds on the cage and then painted it. I had the blade, bullet cover and inside mounting post chrome plated by Kenyon Plating in Cleveland. I couldn't remove the outside post so I polished the best I could. Also painted the base. Bought new chrome plated hardware to match. I want to thank again Donald Coleman for making me a new badge and motor tag. As always he does excellent work! After having to balance the blade the fan runs pretty smooth. I know I spent way more the fan is worth but I didn't want it to look like an ordinary shop fan.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Wow that looks fantastic!I would be really wary of the Levolier switch though. Those things are famous at burning out a good motor.

I could see that happening if it were a multiple speed switch. Thanks everyone for your kind comments. ![]()

OK, sorry about that, forgot those came in single speed as well. Those four wingers are my favorite Emmys.Unfortunately on the two speed units of that era, if the switch fails, it will often let the magic smoke from the motor.

The fan itself is the same size. I think this is the adjustable "attic fan" series. You mounted to the floor in front of a window or vent in the attic. This has a 1" threaded pipe so you just bought the one to the size you need to raise the fan to the proper height. I have another early one like this that is a countertop version that has a adjustable collar like yours. It just looked smaller setting on the floor. Not a fan you want to be moving around. Haha
