Hi,The broken part is the spacer that supports the pointer. I am thinking I may be able to notch some tubing to hold it.

Hi,There was so much crunching I decided to take the actual switch apart. I found it broken in 4 places. So the knob is ok, I can make a spacer, lets hope I can repair the switch.

Hi,A closer look at the speed switch show that there is power on the stem. The state of the switch is the result of careless packing and shipping.
