I got one of these Longnoses in a load of antique CF's from a desk fan collector a few miles away. It also has a set of blades/brackets that are identical to the stamped steel ones found on the Roundnose. It's interesting how these fans have the round "bulb" in the oil cup. I guess Emerson must have been transitioning into the Roundnose design at this point.

Well Louis, I think you have replacement brackets AND an electrically reversible model that is missing the reversing switch (see that hole in the bottom plate?)  You will have 2 sets of spiral grooves on that one.
