I have a Vornado Junior that I just got done doing a mechanical restore.  The next part I have a question on is how to rivet the feet in.  The restore kit came from Crescent Industries.  The rivet is 1/8" diameter.  I've only used a pop rivet before and this is new to me.  What type of squeeze riveter will i need?  What type dies?  Thanks for the help.

Your best bet is to go on C.H. Hanson website and there are also others that sell tooling. Using the specs of the rivets , they have charts to determine the proper tooling. The cheapest way is to buy just the 2 dies and a hand setter that the one die will insert into. Drill a proper sized hole into a block of metal to hold the other die, and then you can just tap with a hammer.

It looks like those rivets are of the "semi tubular" type. And the heads appear to be a "truss" or "oval"  head. You'll need to know that when you look on the tooling charts. If I recall both that I listed use the same type die.

I think they call the type die for the other end a "roll" die. It'll create a rolled crimp on the end opposite the head.

While you're ordering parts, I'd consider ordering more rivets in case you make a mistake. They're pretty inexpensive.

I hope that helps a little.
