Hello members,
I'm Dan.  My wife and I picked up a Vornado B38P1-1 last fall.  Just now getting around to cleaning it up.  I plugged it up and it ran single speed.  I took the cover off the back of the motor and the old wiring is about as dirty and cracked as I would expect.  Looks like it's been rewired--as I explored, it appears the original wiring ran inside the stand.

I thought I had better go to some more knowledgeable folks before I started monkeying with it.
