The fan you have is a Westinghouse LivelyAire 12LA4, those are actually 2 speed fans with oscillator and they actually date to the mid 1940s to the late 1950s as they were discontinued in around 1960 your fan is probably mid 1950s depending on if it has a metal blade or a plastic blade, as the plastic blade was introduced in around 1952, and models prior to that had polished aluminum blades. search Westinghouse LivelyAire Wiring Diagram on the forum search engine and you should find numerous results, as this has been covered many times on here in the past.

Hi again. I searched for it and I must be doing it wrong, came up empty handed. I’ll keep searching the internet based on that info. Thx again.

No, there's a search function within the forum to search past forum posts and topics, its on the top of the page and its marked "Search" there's an arrow pointing down next to the word "Search" in the forum's menu bar, you click on that and a search box shows up and you type into the search box "Westinghouse LivelyAire Wiring Diagram" in that search box and click "search" and then it should return all of the postings in the forum here in the past that has a wiring diagram or discussion of one in the search results. Edit, just to be clear, does the switch on your fan in question actually have 3 distinct positions and besides the "off" position? I'm asking because this is the first time I've heard of a 3 speed Westinghouse LivelyAIre Fan, and the switch and the wiring on your fan does appear to be original, and the "speed resistor" does have 3 wires coming out of it as opposed to 2 like the speed models, which if that's truly the case then the fan's wiring is pretty straight forward, and you just search "three speed fan wiring diagram" on here and follow the instructions on there. But like I said that's only if this fan is truly a 3 speed fan, because like I said I've never heard of a 3 Speed LivelyAire fan before, as I've only ever seen single speed and 2 speed models and that's it. Thanks Levi. Ya, I tried exactly that the first time and came up with zilch. Tried again and same results. I'm sure I'll stumble across something. Thanks again.

I did a search on the subject myself and apparently Westinghouse LivelyAires aren't covered much on here, especially not 3 speed models, which up til this point I wasn't aware of there being 3 speed LivelyAires in existence, only a single speed and 2 speed models, the 3 speed model throws a wrench in the works, as its kind of unprecedented.

Hello. Yes, it has 4 switch positions, including off. I’ve still been unable to find anything on this. 2 of the 3 speed module wires are wired to switch positions medium and high positions on switch and don’t appear to have been modified. The switch wire from what appears to be the low position is unhooked as is the off position. Hot and neutral supply is unhooked as is both wires up to motor. I’m thinking hot (black) supply goes to off position terminal. The rest I’m uncertain of.

search for 3 speed fan wiring diagram, in this case a standard 3 speed wiring diagram would apply here. I know the lone wiring terminal on the switch bottom (the single terminal that is seperate from the 3 terminals together) is where one of the wires from the cord attaches as for the rest of the wires from there I'm not sure as its been a while since I rewired a 3 speed fan.
