Thanks in advance for your help.  I search all over and was unable to figure out the brand and type of fan this is.

It has 1950's vintage styling and a gold colored, aluminum body.

It appears to be an auxiliary fan of some type as it does not produce much air flow from the removable rear grill.

The knob is a the on/off switch and the indicator light shines when switched on.

I think what you have there is actually a portable heater of some sort, as that would most certainly explain the indicator lamp and the on/off switch, and the rather closed off looking grille and the aluminum body, and the lack of airflow coming from the grillle.

Very interesting. In agreement with Levi; I believe it probably is a portable heater or some other special purpose machine.

Please take one of the end covers off and see what's inside. That would clear up what it's for. If it is indeed a heater, maybe some minor repairs are in order. This time of year you may really get some use out of it.

Thanks for the replies.

It is definitely a fan, not a heater.  When I removed the grill on both end I did not find a heating element.

Odd. Could there have been some electronics inside which were to be cooled at one time; and it's been stripped down to just a fan and a case now?
