Hello, and sorry if this has been brought up before. I did check the site before I posted and didn't find anything. I found a 1948 (I think) Emerson 79648AT that I am rebuilding. I have taken apart the head, cleaned and lubed everything and installed a new head wire to the base. My question is this...The fan had no headwire or power cord on it when I found the fan, so I am not sure exactly which wires go where in the switch. And this fan switch is different than one I have rebuilt in the past. I see where one of the wires was soldered onto the switch on the back side...but not sure which colors of which wire goes where since 4 wired total need to be hooked up somewhere (including black and white from head unit and black and white from the actual new power cord.) Thanks to anyone that can explain this to me in layman's terms so I don't burn the house down. Brian.

Here is the front and back of the switch..https://imgur.com/a/sRVw9cA

Try the search feature. Type "79648 wiring". Good luck :light:

Thanks, I did do that and only came up with a bunch of 3-head wire diagrams. Upon further digging I missed this, in case anyone runs across this thread looking for the same answer...http://www.afcaforum.com/view_post.php?post_id=153572
