Hi,  I was working on trying to get oscillator fixed and 4 of 5 wires came off switch. I think that motor and red wire were on one tab then yellow in middle and black on other side? I think it had 4 settings off, hi lo and oscillate settings. Does it matter what tab they soldered to? Also, does plastic control pry off? I tried and it wouldn't come but didn't want to break it. Thanks!

Peter, you should have hi, med, lo.
The white dot on the switch know will come out, may have to use a straight pin to get under it. There is a screw under that dot holding the switch on. You may just have to experiment to get the choke wires on the proper speed, it shouldn't hurt it. One line wire directly to the motor. One line wire directly to the switch. Try it with the combination you mentioned above.
