Hi Guys,
Just picked up a $20, big 16 inch Westinghouse yesterday - very nice condition but it does need re-wiring and servicing. It’s a bummer Westinghouse were using plastic blades by this time but the rest of this thing is cast alloy!

I’ll get to work on this thing on the weekend.

Interesting, they never made a 16" blade like that in the US. I'm also surprised at how small the motor is. It looks identical to the one on the 10-12" fans.

It looks identical to the one on the 10-12" fans.Well after picking it up and comparing it with my 12 inch model, the motor sizes are indeed identical. I’ll compare the internals on the weekend.

Wow !! Love that fan !! As a Westinghouse guy I love those Aussie Westinghouse fans !! Never knew they made a 16” Nice find !!

It appears to have an upgraded stator and rotor - after a re-wire and service, it now operates ok but it is very underpowered when compared with other 16 inch vintage models I’ve tested:
