Does anyone know where I could get a wiring diagram for a Westinghouse 16SD4 fan? I dragged it out of the attic and was planning to attach a new power cord to it but as you'll see in the attachment a bunch of wires are disconnected. In the fan base I see:
- a 4-position rotary switch with markings 1,2,3 and L with red, yellow, blue and black wires coming out of it respectively. I assume the L means line and is where the hot wire would go
- a flat metal connector with 3 wires leading into it (resistor?)
- a 2-strand wire leading to the fan motor

Right now the only wires connected with a wire nut are the yellow wire coming out of the 2-position on the switch, one of the wires leading to the fan motor, and the middle wire in the flat metal connector. If I connect a hot power cord to the black wire coming out of the L position on the switch and to the unconnected side of the fan motor wire the motor turns at one position on the switch. How do I connect the other wires to get the other positions on the switch to work?

If you have a wiring diagram or a working fan can you post a picture of the connections?
