i saw this on ebay, and i am assuming it is reposted  because i saw this same one a while ago, unless this is a common issue... it looks melted, what do you suppose is wrong with it?

what ever happened that fan is not worth 50 in great shape, must have been close to a heat source & melted

yeah, i figured it was melted somehow... i am not going to buy it, never liked those fans because i have had 2 and still have one and they work great, are quiet and move a ton of air, but they are extremely brittle and seem to fall apart.

Several years ago, I left a good quality (think better than Lowe's bucket quality) plastic bucket in close proximity to the fireplace, (maybe two or three feet from the flames), and when I grabbed the bucket to use it for something, the side closest to the fire had a big droopy U-shaped gouge going two-thirds of the way down the bucket, so the bucket would only hold a third of the water it used to be able to.
