I have a front oscillator version of your stationary Peerless which is a 12" fan isn't it?  Mine runs exceptionally well and quietly and oscillates as smoothly as any fan I have.   Very nice fan I would say and no pot metal on my fan.   I can't find the photos I have of mine and it's buried where it is hard to extract.  Whoops, my fan is a Colonial which is a clone of the Peerless, virtually no differences other than the name and even made in the same factory.  Mine is an OB-1-10 and all I have to do is to call is a Colonial and my photos come right up.  Does this look like yours other than the oscillating features?  If your fan runs close to as well as mine does it should be a keeper.   It is an early one with the brass cage badge and hidden cage badge fixing nut on the back of the badge.  Our fans are not represented at all in our gallery.  They are uncommon but not especially rare.
