On one hand, good for you Jim, you saved the seller. On the other, it's an expensive lamp now whether it really was one before or not. I truly hope you get it, it's a nice piece, but you also need the fan and that aint cheap either.


 


One recent interesting eBay auction was the link I posted here to the dragon motor assembly that needed work, the head of the dragon had broken off, but was a factory unit, probably a dental motor outfit. I communicated with the seller but never told him it was also used as a rare fan assembly. He had $1100 on it with make offers, I made an offer per eBay, he declined, I posted here, someone bought it, hopefully a member here. I communicated after the sale and would have been shipped and let him know what it was also made as, i.e. I never let the cat out of the bag so to speak. His comment was "this would've been useful to know before." So, I was a bit of a D&*( on one hand, but on the other, it's not my job to help a seller, but if it led to a member purchase, I'm pleased.
