Nick sent this to me, asking if I had these parts to borrow. I don't. But Nick would like to borrow these just long enough to make drawings of them, to have them reproduced. I am sure he'd be most grateful for the loan. If you can help, contact him, or myself. Thank you.

"Gentlemen,

I am in the process of possibly reproducing some fan parts via local CNC mills (machine shops) in the area.  I am making all the 3D computer generated models myself and will be submitting the models to the machine shops for a Request For Quotes.  If the prices are reasonable I will start having parts made.  I by no means am trying to take away business from folks in the hobby that already manufacture reproduction parts.

I am in need of 3 parts from a GE Continuous Oscillator to borrow.  I do not own GE Continuous Oscillator so I am unable to model the parts.

The parts are as follows:

Steel worm gear with pressed on brass gear

Flat plate beneath oscillator wheel

Threaded shaft with flat plate that brass star attaches to below oscillator wheel."

Do any of you have these parts that I could borrow and return?   Whomever can loan me the parts will be rewarded.

I am still in need of the parts above to create 3D models.  If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.  If anyone even has a complete unrestored GE continuous oscillator they would want to sell please let me know.

Steve - thanks for posting the email I had sent to you and a few others in the area.

Nick

After 200+ page views I've only received one response from a kind AFCA member who had a GE 2 star but not a GE continuous oscillator.   As I stated before. I had sent out an email to Steve Cunningham and others close to where I live who might be able to help since that would be easier than shipping a fan or parts.  Unfortunately, none of them has a GE continuous oscillator to borrow or for sale.

So, now that I feel like I'm begging.  Does anyone have a GE Continuous Oscillator they want to sell or one I can borrow?

I've been an AFCA member for 10 years and this is by far the least amount of responses I've ever gotten on a request.  What happened to "the AFCA network"???

Nick

Nick,  I am not in Dodge city at the moment.  In short.... I am on lap top.  You are really adament on your quest aren't you? :D  I have one with a newly machined helical done by "one" of the AFCA's best.....unrestored.  Those buggers have an Achilles' heel   :tumbs ......pertaining to the helical gear. When I get back in dodge I will message you.  Later dude.

Nick, my apologies.  I do not meet one of your requirements....the STAR OSCILLATOR.  These fans both star or common shoulder screw have a small brass helical driven by the worm.  They are most often worn to the point where the fan does not oscillate anymore. I felt this was your goal?  Seeing the offers given you already you must want the STAR oscillator specifically?  If so....I cannot help you.  So sorry.

Russ,

You guessed it regarding the goal.  Your efforts are appreciated!
