I've got a Vornado 2speed fan that quit working , no smoke or sparks just quit. The Fan has been rewired and I checked all connections but nothing.I am however lacking in the electronics aspect so I might be missing something .Model D16C1-1,Serial D50  33022  I will be at Will Guidry's Mardi Gras meet in Feb. anybody planning to be there having one of these please bring.Thanks.

I've been faked out by a faulty wall outlet before, have you tried a different one yet.  Probably not the problem but just in case...

Here's a couple more things to check, check the motor to see if it spins freely still if so, it may also be as simple as a plug not being connected good enough and, as David said, "a bad wall outlet.

Are the windings dark in color or possibly black? Maybe there is a loose connection?

i am not familiar with the model numbers bui what kind of vornado? "Ducted" or the Frigid/Capri/Vornado box -window fans with the GE export motor? if it is the latter with the GE motor, i have had a number quit for no reason, no smoke or smell, and the point of problem is the small connectors where the switch wires attach to the motor winding head wires. I have fixed many and returned them to working. If you are referencing a true Vornado ducted model i have no expertise there.. tom
