My Tesla's put out more than enuff air for me...more air than that would be uncomfortable!!
Vornado fans have a huge following, and I respect that. I just don't want one.
Now if Vornado made a 20" venturi boxfan without all that ugly cowling then I WOULD be interested in glomming one!!
They have made such a box fan.

Rob:

If you have both a photograph and a model number for this model Vornado, would you please post it?

All my Vornado fans are incredibly quiet for the air that they move, they're even quieter than some of my brass bladers.

They made some of the best fans out there, especially if they had the Sutco motors, which were made by Vornado themselves. I don't see why people hate them so much.

Just because of what the new owners of Vornado did to the AFCA, why hate their old products?

I guess that's just my personal opinion, I think they're great reliable fans, far better than what Hunter put out, and I like my Hunter fans, especially their window fans.

Fred, have you ever had a bakelite blade Vornado? I have an 8" Vornado that is super quiet even on high and it out performs every 12" fan I own, even the Tesla which I hate to admit.
i don't mean to get off topic but what exactly did the new owners of voranado do to the afca?

The AFCA used to have their fan museum at the Vornado factory. When the owner of Vornado, an AFCA member, retired and sold it to a corporate group, that corporate group told the AFCA to hit the road with their museum.
Thankfully another AFCA member, Tom Frampton of Fanimation invited us to move the museum to his factory warehouse and the museum is going strong today! Thanks Tom!!!

I have absolutely no interest in Vornado fans...they're ugly as sin, noisy as he ll and I'll not forget what the new Vornado owners did to the AFCA.

I use every fan in my collection, rotating them and also using them in pairs or more. Today, my mighty 8" Zero is fanning the diningroom area, my 1895 HC is doing bedroom duties, and my 12" Swan is breezing the livingroom. There is no reason to own an electric fan if you aren't gonna use it!!
Hmmmm.....:violin::violin::violin::violin::violin:
