Hi Kim,

Great thread!  You'll find it's a lot of work, but stick with it.

To answer your question---I do.  Fifty years or so ago you could walk along any R.R. track and pick up all of those small Edison oil bottles you wanted.  They pitched them outside of their relay stations and told me it was used over the water mixtures to prevent evaporation from their batteries.

Here's an earlier Emerson box with a little fancier script.  I have many of them.

I will taking a few days off to start moving into our new home. I understand this thread is starting to get a bit long and unwieldy, so next week look for a new 'Fans of the Museum 2" thread.

Kim,

Sorry about that!

I won't interfere anymore with your thread.  I've seen too many ruined!

Nothing to do with you Bill. It was suggested that some of these threads get to be too long to navigate with any continuity and I agreed. See you all next week with a new post from the museum. Will probably try to keep each thread to just a week or two's worth of fans....

Good idea!!  If you find any Emerson laying around in your move just set them by the door and I will pick them up!

Kim,
My dog would appreciate it if you didn't post anymore incredible fans that I had no idea existed.  She gets kicked after every post.
