What is the best way to get the stator coil out of a stamped steel Westinghouse Rotair? Did a member make a puller jig?
Thanks

With your example you could use the method Tim Marks used on his White gloves website. You just drill out two opposed stator bolt holes on the housing wide enough to use a drift punch to drive the stator out with the housing lip resting on both vice jaws open wide. Your advantage is the stator bolt holes you drill will eventually be covered from sight by the guard struts. The drift punch method persuades even the most stubborn drawn steel stators to come out.

Make sure you free your centrifugal start contact sporting the two start winding wires from the housing before you drive the stator out.

Thanks, Russ.
I opened up the Rotaire and was happy that all the gears are fine.
