Here's a sweet little 12" manually reversible model I found today. I gave it a good cleaning, serviced the bearings and it's good to go.I like the 12 and 16 inch sizes for the bedroom.  This one is really quiet on low and even the medium is good. High is smooth but you'll hear it.

I found whatever causing the vibration in the video. It was a loose mounting bolt for the switch. Funny how it doesn't take much to really affect the quality of the fan experience :bigfan

To make your window fan run with less vibes try using a little electrical tape on the mating surfaces. It's basically like a thin strip of rubber so it's very good for this purpose. I used two strips, on stop the other in this pic. I did the same thing behind the switch as well.

A window fan like that would not fit in any of the windows at my place because they are way too small to fit any sort of fan into even a box fan won't fit into the windows at my place because the windows aren't standard size windows.

it came out really good now if we could just have some fan weather! last night was cold again!!!! tonight maybe frost.... two more weeks of this before it warms up
