Hi Everyone,

After searching the forum and looking at the Events web page, I'm curious if there are any events hosted or chapters in California and/or the West Coast?

Thank you,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, welcome to the forum. There are not local "chapters" just the main club that hosts this forum. Once a year, we hold a national meet (location varies) , and some members, including my wife and I host local/regional meets near where we live usually. Regional meets depend on having someone willing to take the time and expense to host one. They are sanctioned by the organization, but not organized or planned by AFCA.

Guests like yourself are allowed/ encouraged to attend some meets, but others you must be a member. That's up to the host. We encourage guests to attend our meet in PA.

All upcoming meets are listed in the events calendar here on the AFCA website. I hope that helps, and hopefully we'll see you at a meet soon.

Hi Lane,

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I appreciate you taking the time to describe the club and event organization!

I'll continue to check the AFCA event calendar for future events.

Take care,
Elizabeth

Elizabeth-

A couple of people that have hosted So.Cal events in the past are Peter Garcia, and Tom Morel. I had a lot of fun at Tom's (unable to make Peter's event). A month or so ago, Tom tested the waters for interest/viability of a get together for this year. Hopefully, he can chime in with any updates

I most certainly can. I've been busy with family stuff amongst others. I'm going on vacation very soon so I'm planning on contacting event spaces in mid August with hopes of a mid October meet (this was about the same time as the previous one that I held).
