Hunter Originals redone  Rate Topic

I dabble in Hunter Originals.  They may be Taiwanese made, but they are Hunter design.

There is no perfect market match to the Hunter brown, a you-know-what color.  Why this was the majority of their output in the 80s-90s I don't know.  

I was able to get a computer color match on these.  The paint is gloss, but a final clearcoat in satin/matte makes an exact match to Original.

First is the paint match on a brown.

Second is a brown to black 38 inch to match the black click/stop reversible irons and blades I had.

First is the match in gloss.

This is after satin clearcoat

The fan with reshot irons, and nose

And a brown to black repaint to match the set of click/stop reversible irons I had

Bottom plate shot in gold then the ivy leaves subject to Rub 'n Buff Spanish copper

Beautiful job. I suspect that the brown was a popular choice in 70s and 80s decor.
