Hello together,

is there any difference between the iconic Patton U2-18CT and the Patton U2-18CP (both from the late 90's)?

Thank you very much for your help! :D

With best regards!
Michael

i am not familiar with the models, but there were differences from the early production and then later. The early 12 and 18" models had round blades. The next phase still had the blue blades and chrome grille, but the blades were like a half moon. There were floor and rollabout versions of the 18" in both and a 14" funky window floor type that could rest against the sash  or be used on the floor. I think this latter unit may have come in 18". The next version had white epoxy covered grilles and still blue blades. There are number of choices as to what the difference is for yours... show us a picture if you can

Greetings!  As Tom stated, pictures would definitely help.  I don't call myself a guru by any means, but I'm definitely a Patton enthusiast!  I'm unfamiliar with those models off the top of my head, but hopefully we can shed some light after we see them.

Hello together,

thanks a lot for your kind answers!

In the meanwhile I got one more helpful reply from Jardencs.com (new distributor of previous Patton). Regarding to my inquiry about differences between U2-18CT and U2-18CP, they wrote:

There is no difference mechanically between the two models. They have the same numbers, the letters are just used for warehouse purposes, or to distinguish a different color.
And to my question about differences between U2-1887 and U2-18CP:

Due to the fact that both models inquired about are obsolete and the model U2-18CT/CP has been obsolete for many years, I unfortunately do not have the exact details regarding the differences between the two units. There are likely coloring differences and possibly some differences in the design of the blades or style of the fans.
On the web pictures, it seems like there are different switch-panels as well as motor-cooling-rosts for the U2-18 variants. Also the powercords could be different to american system:

I also found one combination of both: Motor-grill with black switch-panel... :D

Wish you the very best!
Michael
