Finally got it finished. Got this for 5 bucks from a yard sale. It took a lot to get it working, including lots of man hours sanding the thing. Motor was clean but had some issues with thrust washers. I had to completely tear apart the motor to find out why it wobbled so badly. I love this fan, It's a very strong runner.

I can see that a lot of work did go into that.  It's worth it for a nice, old, all-metal box fan!

The color is great, too. Seems appropriate for this period.
