Does anyone know how to remove the switch on a 1936 "12 silver swan? Send a video or photos on how to remove it.

On the Switch Shaft there's a small slotted clip. Remove the clip from the shaft and the Switch Knob will lift out.

The switch in the OP's Silver Swan looks just like the switch in my Hunter Zephair fan, and that switch for some reason or another hangs up when turning the fan on, so instead of going straight to the contact for the first, second or third speed position on the switch it goes just before it and it takes hitting the switch twice to get the switch into position correctly, and it has to be done that way in all three speed positions, but when shutting the fan off I don't have any problems with the switch, just when turning the fan on. Is the OP's switch doing a similar thing as I've described that mine does?

Levi,
You may be able to take that switch out and take it apart and fix it.
Sometimes a drop of oil on the switch shaft will make a big difference how the switch works.
Good luck with it.

Take your time and one of those magnifying lights is good for that kind of work!
Ihave picked up a couple of them at G.W.

OK, well I don't have a magnifying light but I do have a magnifying lens that works pretty well.

Well I wasn't able to get the switch apart but in was able to fix the switch, turns out the finger contact that goes between the contacts for the switch and the switch knob was bent so I bent the contact back into place and now it's fine again.
