Thank you to all who made the 16th annual Lake Houston Fan Meet such a great success. We had 48 sign the register with many new people. Folks drove in from Kansas City, Mississippi, & Brownsville. As anyone knows who hosts one of these, you never think about taking pictures, so if any of you have some, please feel free to post them. I think Steve & Dawn Sherwood win the prize for driving the farthest distance.

Thank you to Carl Parker, Rick Huckabee, & Jay Bernard who spent the entire meet helping people repair their fans. Sorry I was not able to socialize more with everyone, was going 10 different directions all day. We had a wonderful time! Like my good friend Will always says, we came for the fans but stayed for the friends, happy fanning y'all!

This was our first time to attend the Lake Houston Regional Meet, and we had a wonderful time.  Stan and Jeri Ann made use feel like family and we got to meet several AFCA members that we haven't already met.  The Pizza and Barbecue that we ate was so delicious.  This event is a great one to attend for those that haven't had the chance.  Thank you so much for a great time.  Terry & Terry Lynn

Do regret not going. We had the (non) hurricane Nate come through. Barely drizzled!

Stan's meet is probably my favorite one each year. Good times and good people!

Thank you Stan and Jeri Ann. Larry and I had a great time. I snapped a few photos but lost my focus in the crowd. Here's what I have.

I saw a couple of things that stuck out to me in your pictures, in the same picture that had the "custom red Century fan" pointed out in it there was a 1970s Air King Box Fan hanging out next to the Red Century that looks just like my Air King Box Fan. And then in the next picture in the garage I saw an old Reel-to-Reel  tape recorder hanging out on one of the shelves.  :D

Hey Levi, don't own a reel to reel, sold mine 25 years ago. I think what you see is my old 1940s series battery charger. Ammeter in the middle, knob left center is course increase & knob right center is fine increase. It came from my old auto shop & still works.

Oh, ok, in the picture it looked like a reel-to-reel tape deck. Sorry for the confusion. But that box fan in the first pic was definitely an Air King.
