Wish I could say I did the work but a brass horn repair man in Atlanta did it for me. This is the 3thd one he has done over the years but certainly the WORST in derms of damage. The photos make it look like there are still dents in the dish, but there are not. He does amazing work. I can repair the motors and blades but "body work" is not my thing. 

Here is another before-after of one de did for me a few years back. Not as damaged but still dented and all out of round.

repaired - canopy is just stting on top of bottome plate.

Very good repair! It is still a shame they didn't package it well. I have had other things damaged by sheer incompetence as shown here!

Yup David, it would have been an easy shipping with 20 minutes etxtra work and the removal of 4 small screws - I new when when I fouind out it was shipped with the motor attached it was not going to be good - had pleased for the sender to remove the brass plate. o'well, such is the life of ebay and a lot of fans over the years. I will say the seller did pay for the reparis with no hassle.
