I have an R&M list 2110 that needs a 3 speed slide switch and speed coil.  I haven't been ableto find one yet, however I did get a workman Diehl R 125 3 speed with a bad cage and missing oscillator arm.  My question is whether it is safe to swap the speed coil from the Diehl into the R&M? Any ideas on this are appreciated.
Thanks,
Don  ogel

Probably not a good idea, most likely will smoke the switch or the motor.

Don, Do an amperage reading on the motors. If they are similar then it shouldn't be a problem.

The speed coil would need to have the exact same winding as the missing one. Has nothing to do with amp draw of the motor. Most of these cast iron fans draw about 1 amp or a less on high.Maybe .8 amps depending on the fan.
