I need to pull and replace the adjustable oscillating wheel on my 79648 Emerson. I removed the set screw, but it will not come off. 


This wheel is not repairable is it? The threaded hole where the linkage is supposed to be attached is broken

If I recall, there might be 2 set screws holding the adjustable oscillator wheel onto the shaft. If not, then you'll have to use penetrant or a little heat with a heat gun. They are only slip fit so it should come off. 
No, there's not repairable as that knurled ring is crimped on to hold it all together. They're pretty common though and should be available if you post in BST section.
