Hi Vic:

I think the rear part of the motor housing will slip off. You might have to carefully use a punch and tap around on the lip to get it to slide off.

I'll give that a try. Thanks Kevin

Does anyone know where I can buy the original paint colors for this fan?

Take a part with decent paint to a local auto body paint supplier. Many of them can color match and put the single stage enamel into a spray can. They're not cheap though. Usually ,$25 per can. I don't know of any off the shelf colors that are very close.

I think I'll take the parts to  Auto Zone to try to match it up. If not might do a custom paint job.

Psssssssst....FWIW...if your stator bolts are out, or nuts have been removed, take a grip on the front housing and with a rubber hammer give the tip of the rotor shaft a couple of taps.  Shazaaaaam....the housing will split apart before your very eyes like magic. :D
