Hi All,  I never heard back from Donald, I hope all is well.  So I soldiered on and finished the AI file, sent off for the decals and here is the result.  I have extra so if you are in need, PM me.

Original

Complete with dents.

Fun with Adobe Illustrator!

Measurement, cleaning and prep.  Aluminum badge was not polished!  Cleaned and then a flat matte lacquer to prep badge for the decal.

Not perfect but will do for who it is for!  Three coats of flat matte over the decal for protection.

Left out the word Slide, sorry.  Water Slide baked decals.  They are printed by laser printers so when they pass through the fuser they are "baked" onto the waterslide paper.  Like putting decals on a model - same stuff.

Do you own the laser printer or did you go to FedEx?

Neither.  I created an Adobe Illustrator file from a photo of the badge I took with my phone and sent it to a printing company that specialized in waterslide decals.
