Just finished my first12"  Emerson, Turned out pretty good thanks to all the help from members.

If could just figure out how to rotate this pictures, you would not have lay down to see them.

If you crop the pictures a tiny bit they will display properly. Great job!

Um, that ain't good, that's spectacular. Send me your address. Before you figure out what a restoration like that is worth I want to send you a whole bunch of parts.

I'm kidding on that, but seriously a great job on that fan.

Thanks for all the nice comments on my Emerson restoration. I have been in to fans about two years, my first was a GE Brass. I have restored a lot of fan mostly GE and Diehl, but until I joined AFCA ( 8 months ago) never knew there was that much knowledge, parts and help available. It has really made a big difference. Thanks to all the help AFCA members.

Thanks Mike, The fan was attached to base (stand) I got it,it is solid cast iron very heavy. I have had members say it is not from Emerson, but the hole in the fan base line up like it was made for it. That is all I know.

It likely was made for it by either a talented owner or an enterprising dealer who recognize that a free standing fan was of value to customers. It appears to me to be a table base or a gumball machine base. The Emerson base was made with electrical connections to plug the fan in. Yours looks great though.

I use my iPhone to take pictures, and crop them ever so slightly on the phone.
That base is really nice, but heavy as it is, it could still be knocked over. That would be terrible!

It's easy on iPhone, I figured it out my self, but I'm sure if you can find a kid they can show you how! Other phones, or digital cameras, not sure.

I see you are in Corpus, my brother live out there. You need to come to Stan's event in Lake Houston later this year. I went to my first last fall, lots of nice fans to see. I had my uncle with me so I split after buying a few fans. This year I plan to stay longer, maybe bring some fans of my own...
