Are there any books out there for fan restoration?

You can ask people on here for tips on restoring fans.

Thanks Zachary. I realize that there is a plethora of information from the members of this group, however, with all of the knowledge available, I would have thought by now someone would have written a basic how-to book like those that exist for many other hobbies and interests. I am somewhat surprised at the lack of literature on the hobby of fan restoration.

Hi John, the basics of fan restoration can be easily found here by searching old posts for free, but nearly every fan brand, and even models within a brand have uniqueness and therefore a single book covering every model would prove difficult if not impossible. By searching this forum for old posts, you can easily find out what you need about specific models.

In my years of restoring, I've nearly always either found an answer in old posts or have had an expert here provide an answer. It just takes a little effort sometimes. There's a wealth of information here. You just need to find it.

Best of success with your restorations!

I agree with Lane. Besides that, the sheer volume of ALL the different fans discussed here with ALL the different tips, pictures, references, and personal experiences about each one would consist of a volume that would easily compete with an entire old school encyclopedia britannica reference!
