I'm thinking next spring so as not to dillute Stan's meet. I have a 22,000 sq foot climate controlled facility, with a resturant kitchen and a Bud Light sponsorship, so food and drink is no problem. Also have a fairly well equipped shop for working on fans, besides lots of room to set up tables. There's plenty of stuff to do locally for the wives and kids while us weirdos play with our old fans. Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, the beach, etc. etc. Definitley not during Spring Break, the college kids are nuts! Thoughts please.

To give an idea how big our facility is.

Not a very good picture only shows a small area. This was during Blue Santa when we wrapped toys and Galveston Police Dept. delivered them to 5,200 underprivledged children.

Great Stan I was hoping not to step on your toes. Could probably use your help planning this if there is enough interest. Could be a really good time, we regularly cook for a few hunderd people(or more) at a time. May even spark some interest in Lighthouse Charity Team.com, the organization my dad started back in 1984 when I was still in high school. We have LOTS of neat custom built cooking equipment I'm sure the folks would enjoy seeing while here.

A few more pictures. This place is truly huge. About the size of a football field.

As can be seen I have plenty of tables.

Great! Let's give this a while to simmer and see who else is interested, then I'll speak to the board and we can try to nail something down. Since I have two heavy hitters from H-Town already, this could probably happen.

Just bringing this up again to gauge interest. Would probably do this in February or March, before it gets too hot down here.

Warm gulf coast in February with fans and fan people itching for fans from the winter months...  it could get out of hand and become a thing:clap:

Will’s MardiGras Meet is always the weekend before Ash Wednesday, that is the first weekend of March next year, so I would recommend late January or early February.

I'm thinking Stan is right, how about first weekend in February? I am going up to Arizona to visit my parents next weekend, he has influence with our board members, and can tell me how to approach the matter. If we had some sort of auction or charity donation setup, that would go a long way in convincing them.

I don’t see a couple hundred fans hanging from the rafters of that shop?

No, but there are at least a dozen in use around here. My shop at home, that's another story...

I am going to bring this up to the Board Monday. Or big fundraiser is Jan. 26, so I think second weekend of Feb. would be better. Would like a headcount of potential attendees, so I have an idea how many tables will be needed. There are a dozen tables in our dining hall, and many more we can set up elsewhere. I imagine I'll whip up some meals in our restuarant quality kitchen.

Make sure it doesn’t conflict with Wil’s Mardis Gras Meet or the Sarasota Meet.
