SO, I think we've all got a fan we keep locked in a back room when houseguests come over!  One that is only appreciated because of the history it has.... or that the random parts put together to make it have!

Thoughts?

How does that blade affect motor current? Is it a heavier blade than the factory blade? It sure sounds good.

Hi Kevin. The original plastic blade was deteriorated and mostly missing when I got the fan. I am confident that the aluminum blade weighs more than the plastic one did. The motor has a large 1/2" shaft with fairly beefy bearings in it. I expect it will not over stress the bearings.

As for motor current, it would probably be similar to the original based on the amount of air it moves. I haven't measured it, though.
