Hello Friends. The guy who polishes brass blades for me (Ron Bethoney - New England Brass Refinishing) who is a true artist, called me today to tell me one of his clients dropped off a pedestal fan. He said to "make an offer".I haven't seen many pedestal fans and this one runs perfectly quietly. What is a fair price? That is Ron in the picture. He is very well known for his superb work and he is highly sought after by local towns and cities for his skills in restoring old plaques and statues! He is extremely reasonable too (and a real nice guy). What shall I tell him is a fair price for this fan?

Hi David.  Did you ever end up purchasing that beautiful fan?

No Tom. I didn't. As far as I know, it's still in Ron's shop and available. Call him at 508-583-9415. That's Ron in the picture. His wife, Deborah, will answer. He does all of my brass refinishing and a nicer guy you'll never meet.

I have this exact fan. Found in an antique mall. They are nice smooth runners and pretty quiet.

The reason I inquired is because of this $110 Craigs offering in my area:

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/atq/d/antique-stand-rotating-fan/6659974571.html

Link above is now dead for whatever reason - I'm thinking seller is motivated and goofing around with their ad.  New link:

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/for/d/antique-stand-rotating-fan/6659974571.html

Slightly different model.  Just curious how others have fared with pricing.  Seems a little high, yet sure looks to have potential.

I hear ya Jeff - thought the same thing.

Another thing I found odd - there are two plaques on the base - the one you see in the pics, and another one directly above it.  I wonder what that other one says...?  Makes me think of something like this:
